Villa Igiea is a luxurious 5-star hotel located in Palermo, Sicily. Originally built at the end of the 19th century, this historic palazzo is situated at the foot of Mount Pellegrino and overlooks the Gulf of Palermo.

The villa was initially designed as a private residence by the English Admiral Cecil Domville in a neo-Gothic style. It was later purchased by the Florio family, who transformed it into a grand hotel named after Ignazio Florio’s daughter, Igiea. The renovation, led by architect Ernesto Basile, painter Ettore De Maria Bergler, and furniture designer Vittorio Ducrot, infused the villa with Art Nouveau elegance. Today, Villa Igiea is part of the Rocco Forte Hotels collection and offers a blend of historical charm and modern luxury.

The hotel features beautifully restored interiors, Italian restaurants, atmospheric bars, and tiered gardens that lead down to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Guests can enjoy excursions to Palermo’s bustling markets, Baroque palaces, and ancient sites, or take yacht trips along the picturesque coast. The hotel has 122 rooms, including 12 suites, all furnished with classic antiques and sumptuous fabrics. Many rooms offer stunning sea views.

• Florio Restaurant: this fine dining restaurant transports you back to the Belle Époque era. Located in an original Louis XVI hall, it offers a sophisticated atmosphere where you can enjoy classic Sicilian dishes. The menu, crafted by chef Fulvio Pierangelini, emphasizes simplicity, generosity, and the rich flavors of Sicily.
• Igiea Terrazza Bar: nestled within the elegant sandstone vaults of Villa Igiea, this bar is perfect for aperitivo hour. It features a wide selection of Florio liqueurs and offers a cozy ambiance enriched by frescoes painted in the 1950s by the renowned local artist Eugenio Morici.
• Alicetta: perched on terraces that float between the magnificent garden and the sea, Alicetta offers an enchanting view. It serves as a bistro, open in the evening, where you can enjoy a relaxed meal with stunning vistas.
