Located at the intersection of East Superior Street and North Michigan Avenue, the hotel was designed by Elkus/Manfredi Architects of Boston and constructed by the Thomas J. Klutznick Co. of Chicago.

Its prime location on the Magnificent Mile places it within walking distance of high-end retailers like Chanel, Armani, and Louis Vuitton, as well as tourist attractions such as the Chicago Water Tower and the John Hancock Center. The hotel’s design includes a two-story sky lobby and a Superior Street entrance flanked by Chinese marble lions, echoing the aesthetic of its Hong Kong counterpart. The Peninsula Chicago has consistently been recognized as one of the finest hotels in North America, earning numerous awards and accolades for its exceptional service and luxurious accommodations.
