Description

The Balmoral Hotel is a prestigious five-star palace and an iconic landmark in Edinburgh, Scotland. Situated at 1 Princes Street, the Balmoral is ideally placed in the heart of Edinburgh, at the junction between the Old Town and the New Town. It overlooks the main shopping street, Princes Street. The hotel was inaugurated in 1902 and was originally known as the North British Hotel until the late 1980s. Designed by architect W. Hamilton Beattie in a pure Victorian style, it has always functioned as a hotel.

The Balmoral offers 188 double rooms, epitomizing British chic. It boasts a spa, fitness center, swimming pool, sauna, two restaurants, a tea room, and two bars.

Dining options are the following :

- Brasserie Prince: This chic, relaxed restaurant combines classic French cuisine with sublime Scottish produce. The views from Brasserie Prince, located at No. 1 Princes Street, are breathtaking, overlooking Edinburgh and the surrounding hills.

- Bar Prince: Step into the glamorous environs of Bar Prince, where you can enjoy bespoke cocktails. The bar features cornflower-blue leather chairs and gleaming copper barware.

- Palm Court: The award-winning Afternoon Tea at The Balmoral’s Palm Court is a serene and sumptuous experience.

- SCOTCH: Settle in for a dram at SCOTCH, the hotel’s world-class whisky bar. With over 500 unique varieties of Scottish whisky, it’s one of the largest collections in Edinburgh.
