Description
Housed within the 15th-century Palazzo Donà Giovannelli, Orient Express Venezia is a historic jewel reborn after an extensive eight-year renovation by architect Aline Asmar d’Amman. Located in the Cannaregio district, just ten minutes from the historic pier, the palace combines neo-Gothic and Baroque splendor with the legendary cinematic elegance of the Orient Express brand.
The hotel features 45 rooms and suites ranging up to 145 sqm. These rooms feature 19th-century frescoes, vaulted ceilings, and moiré silks that capture the reflections of the Venetian canals.
Dining at Orient Express Venezia includes:
- Heinz Beck Venezia – An intimate fine-dining destination where the 3-Michelin-starred chef blends Mediterranean purity with Venetian tradition in a historic, frescoed setting.
- La Casati – An elegant, all-day dining restaurant decorated in soft pastel tones. It offers seasonal Venetian cicchetti and dishes, extending into a private secret garden.
- Wagon Bar – An intimate Art Deco cocktail bar inspired by the legendary Orient Express train carriages. This 20-seat venue serves signature cocktails and savory bites from morning until late night.
- The Signature Suites where the 19th-century frescoes of the goddess Minerva and ornate marble fireplaces transport guests back to a golden era.
- The Secret Gardens, providing a rare, tranquil outdoor escape in the heart of Venice for al fresco dining.
- The Historical Legacy, having served as the former residence of the Duke of Urbino and later as a prestigious art gallery before its transformation.
