Description
The Marbella Club Hotel is a luxurious beachfront resort in Marbella, Spain, steeped in tradition and Andalusian spirit. Originally the private residence of Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe, the hotel now offers guest rooms, suites, bungalows, and villas that blend elegance with comfort.
In 1954, Prince Alfonso of Hohenlohe-Langenburg built the Marbella Club as his private residence. It began life as the von Hohenlohe family’s Mediterranean hideaway, known as Finca Santa Margarita. The Marbella Club’s first 20 bedrooms, a dining room, and a bar were established in the old farmhouse. In the 1960s, the iconic Champagne Room was built, becoming a secret hideaway for the jet-set. Aristocrats, dignitaries, and celebrities flocked to Marbella, rivaling the Côte d’Azur and Monaco.
The hotel offers delightful dining experiences:
- El Patio: all-day dining in the convivial Andalusian courtyard. Enjoy coffee, lunch, aperitifs, or after-hours cocktails among jasmine-scented vines.
- Beach Club: year-round alfresco lunches with a historical ‘palapa’ roof. Laid-back fish and seafood right on the beach.
- El Grill: hidden gem in the heart of the hotel. Time-tested recipes brought to life over a crackling fire.
- La Bodega: a tribute to wines—local wineries and rare references.
-
Summer Bar: in the heady jasmine-scented orange grove. Kick off your evening with champagne or cocktails in a timeless Bohemian lounge with live music.
- If you have children, let them discover one of the most beautiful kids clubs in Europe.
- The hotel's true Andalusian heritage, with its typical architecture.
- Lunch at the Beach Club restaurant with its freshly caught seafood.
