Description

La Posta Vecchia is a luxurious hotel located in Palo Laziale, near Ladispoli, Italy.

La Posta Vecchia has a rich and fascinating history. The site originally hosted a Roman villa dating back to the 2nd century BC. During renovations in the 1960s, artifacts such as mosaics, marble, and pottery were discovered, which are now displayed in the hotel’s museum. In 1640, the noble Orsini family built the current structure as a Renaissance villa. In the 1960s, American billionaire Jean Paul Getty purchased La Posta Vecchia. He restored it meticulously, filling it with Italian art treasures and antiques. In the 1980s, Roberto Sciò acquired the property, transforming it into a luxurious hotel while preserving its historical charm.
