Description
The Rocco Forte Hotel De La Ville is a luxurious 5-star hotel in Rome, situated just above the Spanish Steps.
Designed in the early 19th century by the renowned architect Giuseppe Valadier, the hotel occupies an 18th-century palazzo. Valadier also redeveloped the neighboring Piazza del Popolo. Over the years, the building has played various roles. At one point, it served as the head office for a leading Italian television channel. Today, the hotel blends classical Roman romance with contemporary style. Designers Tommaso Ziffer and Olga Polizzi transformed it into an elegant retreat, offering a unique blend of historical charm and modern comfort.
The hotel boasts several dining options
- Da Sistina: a stylish neighborhood dining destination, Da Sistina effortlessly blends classic Italian cuisine with an elegant, sophisticated ambiance
- Mosaico: this restaurant blends the flavors of the Roman Empire into crafted dishes by Michelin-starred chef Fulvio Pierangelini.
- Cielo Bar: perfectly situated for a sparkling summer, the terrace bar Cielo offers Rome’s most magical, panoramic views across the historical skyline. Sip on cocktails under the open skies or starry nights.
Unwind in the 550 sqm wellness center spread over 2 floors, which includes a hydromassage pool, Kneipp path, hammam, salt room, and sauna. There’s also a 100 sqm fitness center, and massages are available by reservation.
